Application of fuel cell in military field

- Jan 11, 2017 -

There are three main aspects of the application of fuel cell in the military equipment in the sea. The first one is the auxiliary power source of the naval vessel; the other is the power supply of the underwater unmanned robot; the three is the driving power of the submarine.

In 1995, the U.S. Navy completed a fuel cell technology used in marine power grids and propulsion systems, the design and performance of the destroyer and frigate and other small naval vessels were evaluated.

Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) and the United States Department of Naval Research (ONR), and the United States Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) cooperation on Ballard (BALLARD) to provide 500kW PEM module was tested.

The U.S. Navy plans to implement the 2.5MW reactor for the destroyer in 2007-2011, as shown in figure 5. The ultimate goal is the 25MW heap. General battery energy released after the end of the scrap or need to be charged, as long as the PEMFC to its continuous input of fuel and oxidant, can continue to generate electricity. more batteries like lifepo4 batteries for solar,lifepo4 solar battery,lifepo4 battery solar,lifepo4 battery bank,lifepo4 battery solar system,lifepo4 solar battery bank, lithium ion battery for solar, lithium batteries for solar, lithium ion battery solar, lithium ion battery for solar storage
