What is Lithium ion battery management system?
The protective circuit of a lithium-ion battery is designed to ensure that such overcharging and discharge conditions are safe and prevent deterioration of characteristics. The protective circuit of li-ion battery is composed of the protection IC and two power MOSFET, in which the protection IC monitors the battery voltage and switches to the power MOSFET mounted outside to protect the battery when there is overcharge and discharge state. The function of the protection IC is overcharge protection, overdischarge protection and overcurrent/short circuit protection.
