Introduction: 

More and more portable electronic devices are using 3.7v Lipo battery to give power supply for it's system. why? well, as we all know that lead aicd battery has only 2v rated voltage, which size is too much big, about 4.5 times than the same voltage lithium ion battery. Lipo battery, one of lithim ion batteries, has high voltage, small size and size is changeable and variety.

3.7 v Lipo Battery Protection working principle: 

TP4056 chip is used as the core of the module, and a complete single lithium-ion battery can be charged by constant current/constant voltage. The charging current I = 1200/R1 = 1A (in the case of sufficient input power). Module with charging indicator and standby indicator, charging indicator LED 1 (red) lights up when charging state; full charge LED 1 out, standby indicator LED 2 (green) lights up; no battery access when LED 2 lights up, LED 1 flickers at the frequency of 1 ~ 4S. The module has under-voltage locking function and automatic recoil function. When the input power VCC is less than 3.7V, TP4056 is in shutdown mode. After charging, when the battery voltage drops below 4.05V (roughly corresponding to 80% to 90% of the battery capacity), the charging cycle starts again.
